Work Matters

This course outlines God’s purposes for work in a way that helps us to make the most of our vocation and to join God in his work in the world.

At a Glance

If you find yourself anywhere on the spectrum from workaholic to weekend warrior, it’s time to bridge the gap between Sunday worship and Monday work. This course will help you do that. Striking a balance between theological depth and practical counsel, Tom Nelson outlines God’s purposes for work in a way that helps us to make the most of our vocation and to join God in his work in the world. Discover a new perspective on work that will transform your workday and make the majority of your waking hours matter, not only now, but for eternit.

This course consists for four lessons. The first two, videotaped in the studio, are a dialog between Tom Nelson and Gerry Breshears on the topics of “Work: Now and Later” and “Work for the Common Good.” These are the topics of two chapters from Tom’s book, “Work Matters”, Crossway Publishing. Lessons three and four Work and the Gospel Story were videotaped at a workshop Tom led for the faculty of Western Seminary in Portland, OR which means the flavor of these two lessons is a little more theologically technical than the first two lessons.
